The Challenge
Translate the visual world of René Magritte into a physical space — a surrealist environment where the exhibition itself performs the artist's tricks of scale, framing and doubling.
The Concept
Deep matte-black walls and precise gallery lighting anchor the graphics, while a giant inverted portrait framed inside a white arch, floating apples and cloud silhouettes, a suspended lunar object and vertical fabric-printed panels turn the room into an inhabitable Magritte tableau. Green apples on white plinths invite visitors to become part of the picture.
The Result
A 350 sqm exhibition that read as a single immersive artwork — press coverage, sold-out events and viral social imagery of visitors staging their own Magritte portraits.
